Karate Classes

Family Karate
Open to all, Family Karate develops a practice that will serve as a common language for family members. Training in this shared discipline brings out each individual’s gifts. Cooperating to attain mastery helps both the individual and the family.

Little Samurais
For ages 5 to 7, Little Samurai classes teach children to channel their energy in a safe and productive way.

Mature Warriors
Mature Warrior classes include Zen Meditation, gentle warm up and stretch, low impact training to promote a healthy body practice and general well-being, and self defense instruction drawn from Asian martial arts.
This class is not currently on our schedule. If you would like to see it added, please contact the Dojo.

Special Workshops

Karate for Couples
After meditation, warm-up and stretch, couples learn techniques that rely on agility and leverage, not strength and weight. Partners train and play together cultivating self regulation in a safe, vigorous and fun way. Classes end with a discussion of how our growth as an individual influences our strength as a couple.
